Make it Monday...Happy Camper

Danielle Flanders hosted this week's Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink, and her card featured a cute open window bringing the inside of the card to the outside.

Thought it would be a perfect time to use my new Petite Places: Camper set.  Bringing the outside to the outside?!

I have had the "Lakeside" papers from Pebbles for so long and they have such cute plaids and camping themes.  Also used the new Scene It dies for the mountains and trees.  The left side of the card is this cool wood tape that I keep in a safe spot because I don't want to overuse it ;)!

I colored my banner with Copics...may use this for an upcoming graduation party for our neighbor's son!

Fruity sketch

A little time to play along with Freshly Made Sketches this week.  This awesome one is by Jen Mitchell...

Here is my card...

Used the new "Still Life: Summer" set from Papertrey Ink.

Stamped the fruits in A Muse Studio and Fresh Inks then added some mini flowers made with a Memory Box die. A little Limeade Ice peeking out of the side of the A Muse Studio Gingham paper. What a fun sketch this week!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

This month's blog hop theme at Papertrey Ink was to be inspired by this adorable inspiration photo...

I started off making a floral card, but something about those stripes made me want to get out my new "Guiding Lights" stamp set.

I used the new dies and stamps to make a masculine birthday card that I need for the weekend.

Blended some Hero Arts Butter Bar (yellow) ink and some Tim Holtz Wild Honey to make the sky in the background.  The cardstock is embossed with a striped folder from Sizzix, and the stitched circle is cut with a die from Simon Says Stamp.

Can't wait to visit blogs for the hop, I loved this photo!

Balloon Shakers...two...and three...

Two more shaker cards using the awesome new Balloon Shaker die from Papertrey Ink...

First I used some bokeh paper from American Crafts with the new "Good Times" stamp set from PTI.  Stamped the confetti in white then added some Stardust Stickles on some of the dots and the "Hooray" die cut.  The sentiment is heat embossed with white powder.

Next a floral balloon inspired by Melissa Phillips' balloon card HERE from the release...

I used the crepe banners (LOVE them) and a sentiment from the Hooray set.  The "Enjoy" is from the new Make It Market mini kit.

The inside is filled with sequins and  mini flowers cut with a Memory Box die.  I layered them up to make the two flowers on the outside.  They are dotted with White Opal Liquid Pearls.

I don't think I'm done having fun with this die yet!

Balloon Shaker with Stars

What to make when your daughter needs a birthday card to take to a boy's party?!  I used my new Balloon Shaker and Balloon strings dies from Papertrey Ink along with the "Good Times" stamp set and Milo's Alphabet from Lawn Fawn.  The paper is Sasparilla by October Afternoon.  That pad of paper is a keeper, had it sooooo long!  Filled the balloon with some stamped images from "Good Times" and some wooden stars, and woodgrain sequin and silver stars.  So much fun to make!

Doodle Buds Sketch

This week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches is by Amy O'Neill and it made me want to get out my new stamp set.  Here it is...

And here is my card with the new "Doodle Buds" set by Wplus9!

I stamped the flowers with Versamark then heat embossed with white powder.  They are watercolored with Tim Holtz inks.

Instead of adding patterned paper, I used a polka dotted stencil over an oval template with some Wendy Vecchi white texture paste.  For my horizontal portion of the sketch, I added some twine and a tiny tag with a sentiment from Wplus9's "Fresh Cut Florals" set.

Some Wink of Stella clear glitter pen highlights on the three flowers and all finished!
Thanks Amy for another inspiring sketch at the FMS blog!!

Bottom of My Heart Sketch

I loved the mini collage sketch created by Narelle this week at Freshly Made Sketches and wanted to play along!

I got this stamp from Hampton Arts.  I rarely buy wood block stamps anymore, but I loved the sentiment and the font so much!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white on PTI's Ocean Tides cardstock, then added some white ink with a blender.

The flowers are from WPlus9's Fresh Cut Florals and the patterned paper is from Pink Paislee.  The gingham is linen washi tape that I popped up with dimensionals.

Loved this sketch! It was just in time for all the thank you cards for the teachers that I need to make :)

Watercolor Blog Hop

Paulina at Pretty Pink Posh is hosting a fun Watercolor Blog Hop this weekend!  I was so inspired by the samples, that I decided to play along!

I used "Ella & Friends" stamp set and dies from Mama Elephant, paired with the "Bubble Confetti" stencil from Hero Arts.

The animals are watercolored using Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  The stencil was sponged lightly for the background.  The sentiment is stamped on vellum and I covered the dimensionals with little sequins.

I splattered the elephant with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Sea Glass to make her look all wet and shiny and clean!

The samples linked are SO gorgeous!  I actually purchased two flowers sets this weekend after browsing.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
